Last day before venturing up North again today :3 We went to Scotney Castle and Gardens today, one of my all time favourite National Trust Properties! :D The sunshine was absolutely gorgeous unfortunately it had an icy edge to it courtesy of the wind. It was the first time I'd been since they've opened the house to the public so it was really interesting, especially as they allow photography indoors so long as the flash isn't used :D I tried to explore different ways of portraying the house, these are some of my more interesting shots~ The iconic National Trust 'Pine cone' so visitors don't sit on the antique furniture, something very reminiscent from my childhood of exploring these stately homes and properties haha. I really like the colours in the middle photo combined with the antique texture from the mirror~ It creates a really arty and dreamlike effect. This and the jar in the last photo remind me of the dream off Studio Ghibli's 'Nausicaa of the valley of the wind', one of my favourite films of all time :3

This just sums up my sister and I :') I didn't even notice I was pulling a face till I opened it on the computer bigger :P We made it a challenge to take a vain photo in every mirror we saw inside :P |
I also found some really nice paintings on the walls that I like, these cats are really cute, I like the simplicity of them! I also love the stunning details in the series above. I'm not sure who they're by which is a shame, I'd love to find more of their work!
