Birling Gap

Dad and I took today's sunny weather as an opportunity to go down to the coast which was great fun. We visited a craft shop in Eastbourne first which had a lot of inspiring samples and products. I found some really beautiful handmade paper! We then took a meandering drive down to one of our favourite beach spots; Birling Gap. It was particularly beautiful today as the sky and sea were incredibly blue contrasting against the white chalk cliffs. I like the fact the pebbles are mostly grey or blue as it's quite unusual. Today's photos might look slightly different to my usual style as I tried using my sister's camera for today as mine's battery needed charging. It was a lot of fun experimenting with the different colours and filters hers has available!

""So I shall die," said the little mermaid, "and as the foam of the sea I shall be driven about never again to hear the music of the waves, or to see the pretty flowers..."

Can you spot the 'heart' in the photo above haha?
The calm before the storm...

Little puddles of sunshine!

Not sure about exploring this cave haha... especially considering there was a new pile of fallen chalk further along!

Fallen chalk!

It looks like someone's taken a match along the edge like a childhood pirate map!
