Day 3- Markets and Drizzly French Streets

It was an early start today as there was a market this morning! :)  We went to the nearby city Narbonne which was very pretty with amazing architecture! There were lots of silvery trees lining the canal~ I didn't  take any photos unfortunately as it was so busy! It was really surreal in the markets though as I keep forgetting I'm in France and you could hear the locals talk so fast there! There were some really cool clothing stalls though~ very 'hippy'! I saw this giant pencil on the way back to the car ; it was a sign for 'school children'  but I thought it was very clever!

It was miserable weather again unfortunately, so, after driving around everywhere to find an open supermarket (turns out they don't exist on Sundays!) we had to find our own entertainment in the afternoon again~ we had another mega poker game, this time with backgammon chips and monopoly notes :P
Later on in the evening we got tired of being inside so Jake, Sam and I walked around the village a bit and watched the sunset~ we ended up finding Slendy's house on top of a nearby hill :P

How beautiful is this scene!

It was really interesting whilst walking around to note the little details that makes France so different to England! For example, I found the fire hydrants were completely different to ours, they looked very steampunky! I also found the hand shaped door knockers interesting, apparently they're a symbol of protection. I really love how all the buildings are crumbling and dishevelled, the textures are gorgeous!

We found this little critter in our room later on, I thought he was very cute with a macro effect! I love the colour!
