Day 11- Montpellier Market and Meanderings

We went to a proper market square today in Montpellier! It was slightly more offcast than it's been, but it was still very colourful and busy! All the buildings were very cute, it was really cool the way the eaves overlooked the market square. We found some really cool stalls, my favourite was this one to the left; it sold so many beautiful silk dresses! The colours were so rich and colourful! They were really beautiful, although sadly out of my student budget! There was also a really cool stall selling all kinds of handmade instruments such as bird whistles and rainmakers etc. There was another store selling dreamcatchers which were very pretty too! It was a really lovely and interesting market to visit.

gotta catch em all! I think all the French people thought we were crazy being so excited by this haha

On the way back, I was really excited to see the Pyrenees! They looked so impressive, especially with the gorgeous splash of red from the poppies in the foreground! It was crazy that they had snow on despite how hot the weather's been lately! We then stopped for lunch at a small lake, where the ducks and some geese kept us company. It was such a tasty lunch as we'd picked up some local bread and a  roast 'poulet' from the market in Montpellier which was very very tasty! We even spotted another lizard chilling! It's been such a fun day so far~ we decided to go visit Carcassonne again before going back as we were in the area~ we were treated to a delicious white chocolate ice cream<3
