Mariner Meanderings

Yet another day of sunshine! I don't think anyone living in the UK can quite believe it but I'm making the most of it! I decided to walk down to the mariner today which was lovely as I bumped into a friend from the area! She was just about to go into work so we didn't have long to chat but it was nice catching up~
I then decided to amble around the Mariner Gardens as I hadn't been to them before, they were lovely! There was plenty of grass for me to sit and chill~ Lots of daisies! I'm considering the possibility of them being one of my favourite flowers as I never know what to say when someone asks what's your favourite flower! I love how delicate and summery they are; I think daisy chains are incredibly pretty and of course lots of fun to make!
Once I'd had enough of the sun, I continued meandering around the gardens as they run all along the coast, I found some really lovely, colourful flowers; I've included some photos of for you to enjoy too, below! The houses down by the mariner are so elegant and beautiful I've always thought! All neatly lined in rows with fancy trimmings~
It's funny how I always focus on the light shining through objects such as the clouds and leaves, I love how it highlights and emphasises the beauty in things. I really like accidents such as lens glares and light bleeds too~ they always create interesting effects!

"There are cracks in everything; that's how the light gets in..."

Currently reading a book I borrowed from Sam's dad called The Illearth War by Stephen Donaldson; The second book in the 'First Chronicles of Thomas Covenant, The Unbeliever' and so far it's really interesting! It's in the fantasy genre, (my favourite) and focuses on the struggles of the main character (Thomas Covenant) who suffers an illness in the real world but gets transported to another 'land' which heals him but he cannot accept this, it's very good :)
I also befriended some ducks at the duckpond near home~ they were very cute, I love the colours in the males! These three remind me of the three musketeers or equivalent group of three haha~

The day was then finished off perfectly with The Pub Quiz with Janet and her friend, which was as hard as ever but as fun too! Complete with the obligatory bacon crisps ;) I even got a question correct! It was the square root of 3600 and the answer was topical, the queen has been on the throne for 60 years, which was the answer!
